Need help with government-funded care?

The Australian government offers subsidised support for seniors and people living with disability through My Aged Care and the National Disability Insurance Scheme. While this can help you access quality care, it can be tricky to navigate the system – especially if you are new to receiving support.

As care service providers, Home Caring Canberra South is here to help. Our care support workers can help you get the most out of your government funding and develop a personalised care plan, so you can enjoy quality of life. We’ll ensure your aged care or disability plan is right for your needs, and deliver government-funded home care services that suit your needs. We offer:

Home Care Packages

If you are finding it difficult to do the things you used to, a Home Care Package can help. This is a government-funded program that helps you access to affordable care at home. It’s a good way to be more independent at home, while helping prevent premature entry into aged care homes.

If you are eligible for a package, Home Caring Canberra South offers a wide range of Home Care Packages, no matter what level of care you need. As aged care service providers, we’ll provide you with a support worker to assist with everyday life, such as basic level care needs, assistance with cleaning, household chores, allied health therapy, nursing care, basic home maintenance and more. Our support personalised to your needs, and you’ll benefit from a team of consistent carers who you can build a trusting relationship with.

For more information about how to apply for a Home Care Package, visit the My Aged Care website, or get in touch today for expert advice from our helpful staff. Our friendly team is more than happy to chat to you about your aged care journey.

NDIS services

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) helps people living with disability access support services so they can engage with the community, gain skills and be independent.

If you are a NDIS participant, Home Caring Canberra South can provide you with quality support that helps you reach your goals and get all you want out of life. We have an empowering and positive approach to disability care that is all about participants taking charge of their life, preventing social isolation, and building skills they need for independence.

You can find out more by giving us a call or making an online enquiry and chatting to one of our dedicated team members.

Our values

Our ‘person-first’ caring culture gives us a framework for our service. As a care provider, our philosophy of care is:

Empathy: we truly care about the people we help. Our carers and wider staff are culturally sensitive, compassionate and understanding. They genuinely listen to your needs.

Respect: we believe everyone in Australia deserves a convenient care service that enables them to live independently, with dignity and quality of life. We put the person at the centre of our care.

Accountability: we take our care seriously. Compliance, rigorous screening and quality standards are embedded into everything we do. We work hard to ensure we deliver the quality of care that you signed on for.

Happy Friday HC fam!

It’s been a busy and productive week here at Home Caring with only forty days till the end of the year we are full steam ahead! One highlight was the team-building and networking session with our amazing Home Caring Bankstown team. The workshop was a huge success bringing everyone together to learn, grow and strengthen our skills.

These sessions are such a valuable part of what we do as they foster connection, build efficiency and empower us to deliver the best care to our clients. As we all know being a support worker can sometimes feel isolating but moments like these remind us of the incredible community we’re all a part of.

Let’s all carry that energy into the weekend—it’s going to be a hot one, so stay cool and take care! 🩵

Happy Sunday HC fam! Recently our Home Caring Vermont team had the privilege of attending the 20th anniversary celebration of Hope City Mission, a vital organisation making a profound difference in our community. As proud sponsors we deeply admire their unwavering dedication to providing food relief, support and hope to those in need. Hope City Mission’s initiatives extend far and wide from their compassionate crisis support programs to sustainable efforts like planting seedlings, whose produce directly benefits people facing hardship. It’s a joy to stand beside them in their mission to uplift lives and foster resilience.

Our sponsorship reflects Home Caring’s core value of giving without expecting anything in return. We’re thrilled to have contributed to initiatives like installing a sprinkler system to nurture their community garden, where fresh produce is grown for those living in crisis. Supporting Hope City Mission means investing in kindness, growth and care and we couldn’t be prouder to play a part in their incredible journey. Here’s to creating positive change together! 🩵
