Indian Support Workers

At HomeCaring, we appreciate that everyone comes from different cultures and backgrounds. It’s part of the joys of life; we share a world with so many different people. As such, we also understand that you might seek out specific support workers if you need home care services. So, we’re proud to offer Indian support workers for anyone that might feel more comfortable receiving help from somebody that knows your culture.

We can set you up with an Indian support worker that speaks your native language. This can be particularly advantageous – especially when dealing with aged care services. Many elderly people struggle with their second language and almost exclusively revert back to speaking the language they grew up with. So, by providing a Hindi speaking home support worker, we can make them feel more comfortable and at ease with this service.

What Are The Benefits Of An Indian Care Support Worker?

There are many reasons you may choose one of our Hindi speaking support workers. Mainly, it allows you to speak to someone in your own language. This makes communication far easier as there’s no worry of things being lost in translation. So, you end up with a much-improved service and can talk to the Indian support worker about anything and everything.

You also have the benefit of working with someone that actually gets and understands the little intricacies of Indian and Hindu cultures. While our full team of home care workers are all highly trained to provide exceptional and friendly service, it goes without saying that some aspects of different cultures can be misunderstood. To avoid this, you’ll have a carer that understands some of the more sensitive parts of your culture and knows how to act and react.

Furthermore, as we briefly mentioned earlier, a Hindi speaking home care support worker can make you and your family feel at ease. It will almost feel like they’re an extended member of your family, which can be highly beneficial when dealing with elderly patients – or people suffering from problems such as dementia.

What Services Can We Provide?

As it happens, we provide a range of home care services that can be carried out by an Indian personal support worker. Take a look at all of the options down below:

Aged Care

We offer Hindi speaking aged care support workers for elderly people that need some extra assistance. As your loved ones get older, they lose the ability to look after themselves. It may start with the inability to do a few simple tasks, but it can get to the point where they need permanent care.

Regardless, we can set you up with an Indian aged care support worker that will take care of your family. They’re available whenever you want – be it for 24/7 support, or just a couple of hours a day to conduct regular checks and see to a few tasks. Your elderly family member will benefit from having a carer that can speak in their first language and make them feel more comfortable and looked after.

As part of our aged care services, we also offer respite care too. This is ideal if you care for a loved one but need a bit of a break. It’s okay to take some time off – in fact, we encourage it. It keeps you physically and mentally healthy, and we will look after your loved one while you’re away.

Disability Care

If you, or someone in your family, suffers from a disability, then we can provide you with a Hindi speaking disability support worker. Here, you will get all the help you need to live life to the fullest while dealing with your disability. We’re more than capable of treating patients with a range of both permanent and temporary disabilities. This includes both physical and mental disabilities as well.

Our Indian disability support workers will be with you whenever you need them. They can handle lots of different daily tasks that need to be done. This includes doing your shopping, cleaning the house, tending to the garden, and making dinner. The service is tailored to the needs of the individual – you decide the level of disability support required.

NDIS Support

On the topic of disability care, we must note that Home Caring is a Registered NDIS Service provider. As a consequence, we have Hindi speaking NDIS support workers that can help you through the whole process of accessing these services. They will sit down with you and make sure that you send off your application and get the full support you need.

This will give you access to NDIS funds that help pay for disability support from Home Caring. Of course, by having a support worker that speaks your language, you ensure that nothing gets lost in translation. It can be challenging to understand how to fill in complex applications unless someone can translate everything word-for-word. Our Hindi speaking support workers will do this, so you have nothing to worry about.

Dementia Care

Dementia is a horrible condition that impacts thousands of people around Australia every year. We provide Indian home care support workers that will look after people with dementia. If your loved one has started showing the telltale signs of dementia, then they’ll need extra care and support.

By working with a carer that speaks your language, we ensure that your loved one gets the best support possible. They can talk to your family member and play games with them to keep their mind as active as can be. We aim to improve the quality of life for anyone suffering from dementia, while also offering support for the rest of the family as well.

Mental Health Support

We know how vital mental health is to the rest of your body. As such, we’re aware that many people suffer from mental health problems. This could include common issues like depression and anxiety. At Home Caring, we want to give you all the support you need to combat these problems. So, we can provide you with an Indian mental health support worker that will listen to any of your issues.

This service is for anyone. Many of the individuals under our care will suffer from mental health issues. This is mainly common in instances where the person might have a chronic condition or illness. It’s also common for people in our aged care services to get depressed as they feel like they’re losing their independence. Regardless, you’ll have a Hindi speaking mental health support worker to talk to about all of this. It’s much easier to discuss sensitive issues like this when you’re speaking in your first language.

Furthermore, if you’ve been caring for someone in your family, then we urge you to look into this service for yourself. Our mental health support workers can help you get some sort of emotional release by talking about your situation. So many carers suffer from mental health issues, and we want to ensure that you don’t fall victim to problems like depression or anxiety.

Social Support Services

At Home Caring, we understand the importance of social support. Everyone under our care will have social support services available to them. This means they’ll have people around them to talk to and be sociable with. As such, we can provide you with Hindi speaking social support services as required.

No matter what type of private home care services you’re after, we can provide them. Not only that, but we will find a qualified and experienced Indian home care support worker for you and your family.

Why Choose Us?

Why should you choose Home Caring for private home care services? It’s simple, we’re one of the only care providers that have Hind speaking personal support workers. We’ve learnt that people are at their most comfortable around people they can relate to. It’s better for you when you have someone that’s also immersed in the same culture as your family. There’s a sense of community, communication is far easier, and your loved ones end up getting a higher standard of care.

Along with this, we also provide the following benefits:

Flexible Home Care Services

All of our services are entirely flexible. This means that you can bend and shape them as you please. We know that no two people are the same. Even if two individuals suffer from the same problems, the level of care they require can be vastly different.

So, we create bespoke home care packages that are built around your needs. You choose how much care is provided, and this can be altered at any time. In essence, we’ve created a flexible and scalable service that’s easy for you to use.

Registered NDIS Support Provider

We can help you save money by offer support that’s eligible for NDIS funding. As we touched upon earlier, we will set you up with an Indian NDIS support worker to guarantee that your application is submitted correctly. This will help you gain access to the funds you need to pay for disability care. So, save money without sacrificing the level of care you or your loved one receives.

Aged Care Approved Provider

We’re also an Aged Care Approved Provider, which will give you peace of mind when choosing our services. You know that you can trust us to act accordingly with elderly patients, and we deliver an outstanding level of customer service.

Experienced & Trustworthy Employees

Every single one of our Hindi speaking support workers will undergo thorough background checks before they’re hired. We also ensure that they have the right level of experience and training to handle a job like this. Our hiring process is very detailed and complex, meaning we only bring in the most talented and proven individuals.

Consequently, your loved ones are in very safe hands. We can say with confidence that all of our Indian support workers are professional and trustworthy.

The Australian Government has announced significant changes to the aged care system introducing the Support at Home program set to commence on 1 July 2025. This initiative aims to enhance support for older Australians enabling them to remain in their homes longer and receive more personalised care.

Key Features of the Support at Home Program:

• Reduced Wait Times: The program will shorten the waiting period for in-home aged care services ensuring timely assistance for those in need.

• Tailored Support Levels: Support at Home introduces eight levels of ongoing care replacing the previous four, to better match individual needs.

• No Caps on Cleaning and Gardening: Unlike previous programs there will be no annual caps on cleaning and gardening services allowing for more comprehensive support.

• Care Management Cap: A 10% cap on care management costs will remain in place to maintain affordability.

• Assistive Technology Access: The program will expedite access to assistive devices like walkers and wheelchairs enhancing mobility and independence.

• Increased Support Funding: The maximum support level will rise from $61,000 to $78,000, providing more resources for those with complex needs.

• Restorative and Allied Health Services: There will be a temporary funding boost for restorative and allied health services, aiding recovery and well-being.

• Palliative Care Support: The program includes provisions for palliative care allowing older Australians to spend their final weeks at home surrounded by loved ones.

Staged Implementation of Price Caps:

Price caps on services will be phased in starting from 1 July 2026. For the first year providers will continue to set their own prices similar to the current Home Care Packages program. In early 2025, consultations will be held with older people, advocates, families, carers and the sector to ensure fair pricing and robust consumer protections during this transition.

No Worse Off Principle:

To protect existing Home Care Package recipients, the government has introduced the “No Worse Off” principle:

• Grandfathering: Individuals approved for a Home Care Package as of 12 September 2024 will transition to the new system without financial disadvantage.

• Fee Structure: If you were a full-rate pensioner paying no fees under your Home Care Package as of 12 September 2024, you will continue to pay no fees under Support at Home. If you were required to pay fees, you will pay the same or less under the new program.

At Home Caring we are dedicated to supporting our older community members through these changes. We are committed to ensuring the financial safety and well-being of our clients providing personalised care that aligns with the new Support at Home program. Our team is here to assist you in navigating these updates, ensuring you receive the care and support you deserve. 🩵
