Aboriginal home care

Home Caring provides indigenous support workers and professional carers that help people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities around Australia enjoy a life that is meaningful to them.

We provide culturally appropriate services that support NDIS participants, seniors and their families, with expertise in:

  • care in rural and remote locations, as well as major cities
  • caring for high complex needs
  • capacity Building and Independent Living Skills
  • NDIS care plans
  • dementia care
  • culturally appropriate care programs for seniors
  • supporting connection to family, community and Country

Home Caring is committed to improving outcomes and opportunities for Indigenous peoples through high quality individualised care. To provide culturally appropriate care to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders community, providers must consider the role of indigenous families and Elders; beliefs about health, ageing and disability; common practices when it comes to care, and how people choose to be supported in indigenous communities.

This is why we are committed to providing an individualised service experience based on personal relationships. We don’t believe that one size fits all, but tailor each of our home care services to meet your needs, taking your family background, culture and preferences into consideration. We take the time to get to know you and your family, listen to you, understand your needs, and deliver care that makes a real difference to your life – in collaboration with family and your community.
