Community Packages (ComPaks)
This is a short-term package of services that helps you regain independence after you’ve been in hospital. Available to participating NSW public hospitals, it can help you have a safe and early discharge, so you can get back to everyday life as soon as possible.
ComPaks includes services such as:
- Personal care such as help with bathing, hygiene and getting dressed
- Domestic assistance to help with cleaning, shopping and laundry
- Meal preparation or meal deliveries to your home
- Transport and social support, such as help with the shopping
- In-home respite to give carers a break
In some areas, ComPacks can be used as an early intervention to avoid a stay in hospital. This is called ComPacks Healthy at Home. To find out whether this is offered in your area, please get in touch.
